We are excited to be hosting a 1.5hour Restorative Yoga workshop with Stephanie Johnson that will restore, renew and rejuvenate your nervous system.

What to expect

Restorative Yoga is a very gentle form of yoga that relaxes and places your body in restful positions. By supporting the body with props, you stimulate and relax the body to move towards a place of balance. The poses are designed to create physiological responses that are beneficial to your health and can reduce the effects of stress-related disease. This practice is extremely therapeutic and healing. You’ll feel leaving completely restored and like you’ve received a full body internal massage.

What’s the difference between this and Yin Yoga?
“Yin is where you work with the connective tissue in the body, so you are still working with the body and thereby require effort. Restorative yoga is where you are placed in positions that allow your body & mind to completely let go. There is nothing that you need to do and no effort required. It’s like a melting into a hot bath
We use a lot of bolsters and blankets to facilitate this process.” – Steph
