A deeper connection inward to Self, and outward to the universe

is not only the most magical gift we could give to ourself,
but its why we’re here.
~ Ava

Take this opportunity to transform your entire life.
This is a one-of-a-kind 7 day silent yoga & meditation retreat aimed at a profound inner transformation based on our revelation of ourSelf as Pure Existence.
  • We will spend the first three days focusing on rest, restoration and balance.
  • On day three to six, we emphasise depth, understanding of the Truth & Reality.
  • On day seven we integrate and flood our system with compassion & gratitude and prepare to integrate back into our relationships with love and clarity in our heart.

A profound, beyond-mind understanding of Stillness is our birthright.

Meditation has been misdirected by millions of seekers as a form of struggle, effort and contraction. In this retreat we recognise Stillness as a platform for resting, awareness, pure being, life, love and freedom.

We leave behind the programming and the mundane, and embrace the beauty of our experience, settling into simplicity. Although subtle, there does exist a philosophy and practice in the direction of stillness. This is an entirely new kind of effort – we explore the profound shift from compulsive doing, into effortless being.

Remarkable insights and deep transformations naturally result after longer and repeated retreats.

Balance & Harmony

The 7 days is meant to replicate a solitary cave retreat. Everyday we will enjoy beautiful yoga, meditation, relaxation and peace-ful exercises to return to the deepest sense of Self. There will be no contact with the outside world or even your colleagues within the setting. Expect a balancing and harmonising of our nervous system, sleep cycles, and a re-setting of the way we react to emotions, thoughts and circumstances.

"Spanda yoga school retreat May 2017
Could there be any better way to bring balance back to your life than a seven day silent yoga and meditation retreat in Margaret River? Tropical island holidays are good, so are mountain treks. But if you are serious about your total well-being, this experience would be hard to beat. It appears that yoga is more than just stretching and meditation is more than sitting down doing nothing. Its actually a bit of effort... that can become effortless. 7am until 830pm includes two yoga sessions and three or four meditations every day. There are also insightful yogic teachings delivered by Ava Irani for the whole retreat, which she does with no notes every day with an astounding depth of knowledge, wisdom and quotes. Such as; 'Being true to who you are is the ultimate maturity' and one of my favourites; 'everything everywhere is an extension of yourself'. This helped deal all the thoughts and emotions that still appeared uninvited in my mind during the retreat. Had I worked hard enough? , sorted out all my personal issues? got enough money is the bank ? etc etc What I was able to learn and practice, was not to fight these thoughts but accept them as doing their job, however irrational and realise they are not ME. Meditation became not an exercise in trying to control anything, it was much more about accepting everything.
The retreat also has another special feature; seven days of divine Indian food prepared by Arooza using mysterious methods ie no recipes. I had to walk that off in the surrounding bush tracks over the extended lunch and siesta time. This allowed me to connect with the birds and wildlife that are of course being true to their natural selves, jumping around and getting on with life....with lots of singing. What I got out of this experience was a complete sense of unplugging from everyday life to focus on what life actually is. Seven days of no talking, phones, jokes, gestures or even eye contact. So strangely refreshing and energising. Its a great opportunity to share the love Spanda school has to offer. Five stars."
