This 2 hour session is an extension of what is offered every Friday evening at Spanda by Arooza. It is to deepen the practice of meditation using the asanas and breath as tools to still the mind. One of the main comments offered by the students is the practice is not long enough. Just when you are ‘’unravelling’’ it’s time to go!!

The 2 hour sessions of Yin yoga ~holding the poses longer and allowing our body to rest, relax & restore is offered once a month, first Sunday of every month by Arooza. The focus of these sessions is to let go of the thinking mind which keeps us constantly in a fight or flight mode and to trust and surrender to the here and now. The body has an incredible capacity to heal itself, all we need to do is get out of the way!

What to Expect

Each month a different focus and practice will be introduce i.e. surrender, trust, letting go of limiting beliefs all with the intention of really connecting to our true essence. The 2 hour session will allow the student to really go deeper into meditation with the guidance of the teacher. Philosophy and esoteric teachings will be imparted during the practice helping the student understand the purpose and meaning of their life.

Part of the practice will be longer awareness meditations to just rest in the stillness and to make a practice of watching the thoughts and not engaging in them. Learning and practicing on resting in our heart space and opening our heart to unlimited possibilities.

The benefit of this 2 hr session is not just on a physical level, but on an energetic level as well. Our lives flow much better, our sleep improves, stress is released and we learn to connect more and more with our Divine essence. We learn to navigate skilfully through turbulent times.
