        Meditation

A beginner friendly floor-based practice where many props (bolsters, blankets, cushions) are used to help us gently open up the connective tissue. Connective tissue or fascia are sheets of fibres, energy and water that pervade the entire body, creating a network of support and subtle communication. In Chinese Medicine, the fascia is closely connected to organ function, the meridians, and chi- determining the function of our emotions, mind, physical body and wellbeing. We address these tissues by applying a gentle mechanical stress, and hold, to increase circulation of energy to the target areas.

These sessions blend both yin and yang movement, you can expect quicker flowing movements, more strength building as well as balance and coordination.

Each session is tailored to suit the needs of the group, involving a moving meditation with various standing, sitting and flowing postures, interspersed with meditative guidance. On a physical level, the muscles, joints, and organs are targeted. Postures & movements are used to heal, strengthen and energise the body in a truly magical way.
