        News from Kate

        We’re having a wonderful start to 2023 – hope you are too?

        Summer in South Freo is the best!
        Everyday I meet new people who have either moved to the area or are just passing through – but they all say the same thing: they have heard amazing things about South Freo, and Spanda … and I couldn’t agree more 🧡✨

        Some of you may have heard that I’ve just celebrated my 1 year anniversary at Spanda!! 🥳

        I feel so grateful to Ava, our team of teachers and you…our wonderful community, who make my role as Manager interesting, fun, inspiring and occasionally challenging…but always heart filled! Thank you!

        Some of you may also have heard that Ava and baby Jasmine are doing wonderfully well – We are looking forward to seeing more of Ava very soon at the Yin & Cacao Ceremony mid-Feb and the Silent Retreat at the end of February (just 3 shared spots left)! YAY!

        In the meantime…a FREE offering from Ava
        Ava is holding two 50min online workshops on Monday 30th & Tuesday 31st January from 12pm.

        Announcements

        Reminder to book (and cancel)
        Our community is growing as the new year and great weather stir the desire for wellness. Our regular members may have noticed some classes being full and waitlisted!

        So it’s a timely (gentle) reminder that booking ahead means you won’t miss out, and cancelling out of the class if you know you can’t make, ensures a waitlisted person gets the opportunity.☺️

        Julia & Marta return
        Julia has been our regular Saturday Morning Meditation teacher for much of 2022, but many may not know she is also a Yoga Teacher.
        Jules supported Ava on Silent Retreats last year and will be joining us again to assist in February. She also joins the cover team for a few months before heading to India on a 12mth sabbatical!!
        Marta is now back from travel and honeymoon with two regular weekly classes – you can catch Marta:
        – Tuesday 9.30am – Gentle Hatha, covering for Nea until the end of June
        – Saturday 8am – Park Yoga, in Boo Park until the end of April.

        Our quarterly feedback / review winner has been selected at random and we are excited to announce Joy Reade is our latest winner of $100 Spanda Voucher to use on classes, events or in the Spanda Shop! Congrats Joy 🥳

        Joy attended our Mini-Retreat with Shanan & Pinn offering Yin, Sound & Goal Setting in January and completed a review feedback form and Google Review! We’ll share this and more on socials soon!

        Charity initiative continues
        We are collecting old Yoga Mats for repurposing into useful items for those in need. Do you have an old mat to donate?
        Bring it to class/drop it off before/after a class or leave it outside the door, rolled up. Or reach out to Kate for other times.

        New Training with Ava
        Ava has been improving last years successful initial offering of the Therapeutic Embodiment Facilitator Training.
        The course has been extended to include private mentoring as well as the 8 month online, intimate container with Ava. A group training program designed to embody the 3 part healing method; including guided practice sessions, monthly study and community connection.
        Apply before the 16th February to receive the Early Bird discount.
        Spanda Members & previous students of Ava’s courses are also eligible for a discount.
